Brute Strength Just Took A Shot At Every Major Camp

Brute Strength took the top two spots on both the men’s and women’s side at the 2026 CrossFit Games, with James Sprague and Dallin Pepper going one two for the men and Aimee Cringle and Emma Lawson doing the same on the women’s side.

Shortly after the podium ceremony, Brute posted to Instagram with the caption, “It’s a PRVN fact we came to cause some Mayhem. A good reminder Hard Work Pays Off...” which looked like a pretty direct shot at the other major camps in the space by name. When you reference PRVN, Mayhem, and HWPO all in one victory lap, people are going to read it as more than just a celebration post.

The thing is, the flex lands because the results back it up. With how brutal this year’s Games looked from start to finish, there is no real argument that those podium spots were handed to anyone, Brute’s athletes earned every bit of it.

Justin Medeiros And Ellie Turner Are Engaged

Two time CrossFit Games champ Justin Medeiros has proposed to longtime girlfriend and fellow CrossFit Games athlete Ellie Turner, with Turner sharing the news on Instagram through a carousel of engagement photos and the caption, “Permanent training partners.”

The engagement lands as one of the feel good stories in the middle of a very chaotic CrossFit news cycle, especially because Medeiros and Turner have long been one of the sport’s most recognizable couples since 2022. Between training, traveling, and competing at the highest level they have already built a comfortable life together with their dog Theo so this is the natural progression and much anticipated. Congratulations to the happy couple and we wish them the best in their future together!

Castro Might Have Just Teased Triple Unders

Dave Castro was on site at SAP Center today and posted Bill Leahy doing triple unders, which of course immediately sent fans into detective mode over whether he just slipped a real CrossFit Games clue into his story.

Castro has a long history of mixing real hints with pure trolling, but dropping that movement from inside the Games venue is exactly the kind of thing that gets athletes and fans spiraling. Whether it was a genuine preview or just another Castro mind game, triple unders are now officially part of the rumor mill.
