No More REBEL Renegade Games In 2027

The REBEL Renegade Games are off the 2027 CrossFit season calendar. "After four incredible seasons, the REBEL Renegade Games will no longer form part of the CrossFit season calendar. There will be no REBEL Renegade Games in 2027," organizers announced on Instagram.

It comes down to qualifying spots. "Without qualifying spots and the CrossFit Semifinal designation, we cannot deliver the event our sponsors and community deserve," the post reads. The event has been the in person CrossFit Games qualifier for athletes across Africa and the UAE, and this past May in Johannesburg it sent one man, one woman, and one team to the Games.

Organizers say they are not going anywhere. "This one hurts, but the mission hasn't changed. We're still here, and we're still growing CrossFit across Africa and the UAE."

Roman Khrennikov Is No Longer A Mayhem Athlete

Roman Khrennikov has officially left Mayhem. "I want to let you know that I'm no longer a Mayhem athlete," he shared on Instagram, adding, "I feel that this chapter has come to a natural close, and now it's time for me to build something of my own." He has not said what that next chapter will look like.

The announcement comes just days after Roman told the Out of the Cage podcast that he is moving his family from Cookeville, Tennessee, back to Madison, Wisconsin, saying the city is a better fit for his son's education. Madison is where he lived in 2022 after finally getting his visa, before he moved to Cookeville that December to train at CrossFit Mayhem.

Roman is at least the third big name to leave Mayhem this year. Haley Adams moved home and now works with Coach El at Brute, and Austin Hatfield is now with PRVN. Three exits in one off season has the community wondering who is next.

Andrew Hiller's YouTube Channel Gets Removed

Andrew Hiller's YouTube channel has been shut down. On October 12 he posted a screenshot to Instagram showing YouTube's "Channel removed" notice. His only comment was a short "Oh well."

Hiller has not said why YouTube removed the channel or whether he plans to appeal. The post quickly passed 1,900 likes and 400 comments as fans reacted to losing one of the more outspoken voices in CrossFit content.
